The Scientist comes 11th on Channel 4's top 100 music videos. This music video is a story of a man (played by Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin) and his girlfriend being in a car crash, in which she dies and Chris Martin's character lives and walks aimlessly singing. However, the video is different as it is in reverse and slow motion, which meant the Chris Martin had to learn how to sing the entire song in reverse and 50% slower, to give the illusion that he is moving backwards but singing regularly.
